Plate.InnerAperture Property
Plate.InnerAperture (read-write, Double)
[advanced] The diameter (arcseconds) of the inner aperture for star detection (default = 0 for automatic)
Syntax
Plate.InnerAperture [= Double]
The property syntax has these parts:
Part |
Description |
Value (Double) |
[advanced] The diameter (arcseconds) of the inner aperture for star detection (default = 0 for automatic) |
Remarks
This is an advanced property. In most cases, you will not need to change this value, the default will work. If you are having trouble getting plate solving to work, first verify the accuracy of ArcsecPerPixelHoriz and ArcsecPerPixelVert.
The star detector uses aperture photometric techniques to detect and locate stars in the image. This is the inner circle used in the algorithm. The star pixels must fall within this circle. The default value of 0 causes PinPoint to select the aperture sizes automatically.
Legal values range include 0 (default/auto), and values that translate to a range of 0.5 to 10 pixels calculated using the plate scales).
