A Dynamic Link Library or DLL is a Microsoft Windows file that contains executable code, but cannot run on its own - it can only run when loaded by another program. Many Windows programs, including MaxIm DL, are comprised of an ”EXE” executable program and a set of DLL components that plug into it.
