Where Are My Files?

Here's the place where you can find out how ACP is configured for files and folders of the images it acquires and the logs resulting from each ACP observing run, including auto-flats. This shows where your files will go, and if customized, a clickable link to see/edit the customization file, as well as a link to the folder where the customizing/config file was found.

The first link in each line will open a File Explorer to the folder that is as close as possible to the exact location of the files you're looking for. In the link, you may see something like "(under $DATENITE\Calibration)". These are parts of the directory name that are generated during the run. In this case, the File Explorer can't be opened any deeper than it is. For more information on the "$" variables, see Custom File and Folder Names. If the folder(s) have been customized, there is a second link in the line. It will open the configuration file in which the custom definition is made. This is always followed with a link that will open the folder in which the configuration file was found (ACP supports an "old" location in Program Files (x86)\ACP and a "new" location in Public Documents\ACP Config, and the latter takes precedence).

Running ACP Observing Plans as the Local User (in the Observatory) Using the ACP Console or "Use Web Browser" button (http://localhost/)

In this case, it is assumed you are here, inside the observatory, and have physical access to the observatory computer. If you bypass the normal web login using Remote Desktop, Team Viewer, etc. you are considered local to the observatory because you can do anything and see everything. You are here "in" the observatory as opposed to "out" on the web:

Running via the web (http:/// or router WAN address)

Here, the normal/default location is within/under the area of your disk mapped into the web server's file space (under the web document root). Alternatively you can put images (only!) into a Google Drive or DropBox subfolder. If you see files of type .asp do not delete them! They are required for the ACP web browser view of files and folders. The same goes with any of the files in the web document root itself, do not change or delete them!
